Interviews, Resumes, and HR…Oh My!
Since we are able to freely write whatever we want, I am now at a lost for words. That surprises me. I guess I could write about the beautiful 60 degree weather we are having, but I didn’t get to enjoy it/or my birthday weekend all that much because of stupid bronchitis. However, on Friday night I did get to go to Triumph Brewery in Princeton. Being a 22 year old Hamilton veteran-you would think I’ve experienced Princeton millions of times. In all reality it has been far from that. But every time I go, I do enjoy it more and more.
On another note, for all the graduating seniors, how’s that job search going? Mine is eh. I got two interviews lined up, which is sweet. But it would be so much easier if something were already lined up for me. That would make that transition for student to career woman so much easier. But I guess this is part of the “fun”. Who would have thought, I think I might actually use blogs to further my career search. If I ever get the time to just sit down and do it, I might actually make a separate blog just about my professional information. This would include resumes, experience, honors, and all that jazz. After hearing from David Meerman Scott in our class via Skype last Monday, I think he may be on to something about a professional blog. ( haha I like how I said he may be on to something, he must be-he wrote a best selling book). But in reality, I think, especially in a time when technology is overwhelmingly part of society, the capabilities of blogging will soon be overwhelming. And who knows, maybe some HR person for a PR company will come across my blog resume and leave me a comment about a possible interview. Let’s hope that works!
